Hermanus is known for being the best place in the world to do land based whale watching. With a 12 kilometer stretch of cliff paths, visitors can enjoy the scenic beauty of the village,while being entertained by the antics of these giants of the sea. Hermanus Whale Festival 24/09 – 27/09/2010
The Hermanus Whale Festival, the only Enviro-Arts festival in South Africa, is held annually to celebrate the return of the Southern Right whales to the waters of Walker Bay.
